Charles Marion Russell [1864-1926] was an artist of the Old American West, and created more than 2,000 paintings and bronze sculptures of cowboys, Indians, and lanscapes. Many of these works are featured at the C.M. Russell Museum Complex, which is located in his home town of Great Falls, Montana. In 2005, his 1918 painting titled "The Piegans" sold for $5.6M at auction. |
