My husband and I have been collecting vintage artwork from around the world for more than 40 years. As we approached retirement, we began to uncover much of our collection, and were amazed at how large it had grown. It would have been a shame to keep it boxed up, so we created VintageOps as a way to share these forgotten treasures.
We started this journey with T-shirts and tote bags, but along the way we discovered another forgotten treasure, the flour sack dishtowel. After selling our products for several years at various Art Shows and businesses in the Reno, NV area, we were hit with a swarm of positive feedback. Being a tourist town, the number one question was "where can I buy more?" So we launched our online store to answer the question.

Elizbeth Twining [1805-1889] was an English botanical illustrator. She was born into the Twinings tea merchant family, and was one of 9 children. She learned art and drawing as part of her upper-class education, and was inspired by William Curtis's "The Botanical Magazine" to draw plants and flowers. Twining illustrated several books throughout her career, and most of her original artwork is now housed at the British Museum. She was also a philanthropist, establishing the Saint John's hosipital for the poor and helping to found the Bedford College for Women.
